How we trade: the Barakah doctrine

A container contract carries real counterparty risk for the buyer. At NBX, Barakah means a set of working rules that protect overseas buyers and Indonesian growers from the problems of conventional commodity brokering.

Factual Assaying & Zero Adulteration

Our briquettes are made from mature coconut shell, with no wood sawdust or artificial binders. Our Vanilla Planifolia is rated at 1.8%–2.4% vanillin and is not chemically soaked. The assay sheet for each lot reports the measured values for that batch.

Contractual Transparency & Certainty

We do not sell stock we have not secured. Delivery dates follow the regional harvest and our kiln capacity. Buyers get FOB/CIF pricing schedules, stated tolerance bands, photos during container stuffing, and tracking until the vessel departs.

Prompt Grower Settlement & Supply Security

Conventional chains pay smallholders late, which puts the next harvest at risk. We pay local tappers, curers, and grower cooperatives promptly and directly. In return, we get first choice of the best harvests.

Mutual Commercial Blessing (Barakah)

We write agreements for repeat business, not for the margin on a single container. Buyers get predictable supply and pricing. Growers get a steady buyer.

Conventional broker vs. NBX, point by point

Where our operating model differs on the risks buyers raise most often.

Questions buyers ask before signing

Answers on company standing, inspection, payment, packing, and samples.

How can an international buyer verify the legal corporate standing of PT. Niaga Barakah Xportindo?

PT. Niaga Barakah Xportindo (NBX) is a legally registered Indonesian corporation (Perseroan Terbatas / PT) established under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Republic of Indonesia. We maintain an active Business Identification Number (Nomor Induk Berusaha / NIB) authorizing export and wholesale commodity trading (KBLI), an official Corporate Tax ID (NPWP), and an active registration in the Indonesian Exporter Directory. Upon request, our export desk provides certified corporate dossier extracts and banking reference letters to prospective wholesale clients.

Are independent third-party inspections (e.g., SGS, Sucofindo, Carsurin) permitted before container loading?

Yes, absolutely. We welcome and encourage independent third-party inspections. Buyers may appoint internationally recognized surveying agencies such as SGS, Sucofindo, Carsurin, or Cotecna to conduct pre-shipment sampling, laboratory assaying, weight verification, and container stuffing supervision at our warehouse or the port terminal prior to final customs sealing.

What international payment terms and banking settlement structures does NBX accept?

To accommodate commercial risk management, we accept Irrevocable Letters of Credit (L/C at sight) confirmed by Tier-1 Indonesian foreign exchange banks (Bank Mandiri, BCA, Bank BNI). For established buyers and expedited shipments, we also operate via Telegraphic Transfer (T/T): typically 30% advance deposit upon Proforma Invoice confirmation to initiate lot allocation, with the remaining 70% balance settled against scanned copies of the original Clean on Board Bill of Lading and shipping documents.

How does NBX protect containerized commodity cargo against ocean moisture and sweat damage?

Trans-oceanic container voyages expose agricultural and carbon cargo to severe temperature swings and container rain. We protect all consignments through multi-layered packaging protocols: food-grade hermetic GrainPro liners for green coffee beans, heavy-gauge vacuum pouches for cured vanilla pods, woven polypropylene sacks with inner poly-liners for spices, and high-absorption industrial container desiccants (calcium chloride poles) suspended inside the container walls before ocean dispatch.

Can NBX manufacture custom OEM retail packaging, private branding, and barcoding?

Yes. Our private label division works extensively with international shisha lounge distributors and retail spice brands. For coconut charcoal briquettes, we produce full-color litho-printed 1kg, 2kg, and 5kg inner boxes, shrink-wrapped inner packs, and heavy-duty 10kg master cartons with custom buyer artwork, EAN/UPC barcodes, and regulatory safety text. For botanical spices, we offer customized stand-up pouches and food-service master packaging.

What is the procedure for requesting laboratory-grade sample parcels?

Wholesale buyers can request sample parcels directly through our Export Desk. We prepare 250g to 1kg sample parcels for laboratory evaluation, burning trials, or moisture testing, dispatched via DHL or FedEx Express with full tracking. Samples are provided free of charge; prospective buyers provide an active courier account number or cover direct air freight dispatch charges, which are fully credited toward the initial commercial container order.
